Overview
Blend Labs is a B2B2C white-label mortgage and banking application company that specializes in making systematized workflows for it’s customer banks. Some of these applications included bank accounts, credit cards, personal loans, and, most notably, mortgages.
As a designer at Blend Labs, I served a number of roles including:
The v0 to v1 lead designer to Blend’s newest pre-qualification tool “OneTap Mobile”
Set the v0 foundations to Blend’s no-code to low-code page building tool known as “Product Builder”
Lead and own the design to Blend’s core white label product
Help mentor the design system team and
Create to core workflow behind Blend’s Income Verification tools
OneTap Mobile
OneTap Mobile is a near-instant loan pre-qualification tool that leverages various workflows and fallbacks to give potential homebuyers a realistic home affordability (“Buying Power”) number. The goal was to only use income, debt, and account information that could be either instantaneously (or very easily) verified to provide home sellers, home buyers, and banks a highly confident Buying Power to smooth out and expedite the house hunting, offer, acceptance, and loan acquisition phases of the home buying process.

Product Builder / Platform
The Product Builder (aka “Platform”) is a low-code / no-code tool that would provide Blend’s customers with all the building blocks and components necessary to create their own custom workflows empowered with their own customized conditional logic. It’s goal was to allow customers to have easier access to application creation and reduce their reliance (and sometimes bottleneck) on Blend to create or edit workflows for them.
